Junior PHP Developer - Laravel

Overview:

We are seeking a PHP Developer with experience in Laravel to join our fully remote team. As a Remote PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, utilizing technologies such as PHP 7, Laravel, Sail, MySQL, Docker, and AWS EC2. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to engage with clients, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable tickets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP 7 and Laravel framework.
• Utilize Sail for local development and streamline the deployment process with Docker.
• Work with MySQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS EC2 instances.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into detailed tickets.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise during development and deployment.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of PHP development, ideally will have some projects with a focus on Laravel framework.
• Some working knowledge PHP 7 or other programming language, Laravel, Sail, Tailwind, MySQL, Docker, and AWS EC2.
• Ability to learn Git, and the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Ability to learn object-oriented programming and design patterns.

Education and Experience:

Github or Bitbucket profile with a portfolio of projects, some examples of previous work.

Preferred but not essential: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Salary & Benefits:

Up to £25,000 per annum, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to work with a talented team on exciting projects.
