Build · Apple Watch App Development

A glance is the whole interaction.

On the wrist there is no time to read. The right data has to arrive in a second or it is useless.

Overview

The watch is the most demanding screen Apple makes: a second of attention, no room to be wrong. We build standalone and companion watchOS apps that respect that limit: a complication that is current, a workout that records, an alert that lands. For health and field work, where the data has to be right and immediate, the wrist is where it gets answered.

What it includes

The work, named plainly.

01

Current on the face

ClockKit and WidgetKit complications that put timely data on the watch face itself, read without opening anything.

02

Health it can write to

HealthKit integration reads and writes metrics, runs background workout sessions and syncs to Apple Health. The record is the point.

03

Synced, with a fallback

Watch Connectivity keeps the iPhone app and the watch in step in real time, and the watch still works alone when it must.

04

Felt, not seen

The Taptic Engine and audio cues confirm actions and alerts without asking the user to look. Feedback off the screen.

How we work

Engineered once. Maintained indefinitely.

  1. 01 Settle the one job for the wrist: the data and actions that earn always-on, glanceable access.
  2. 02 Design a minimal, high-contrast interface in SwiftUI for watchOS, built for small and quick.
  3. 03 Add background tasks and complications so the app stays useful out of the foreground.
  4. 04 Integrate HealthKit, CoreMotion or CoreLocation, handling permissions with plain wording.
  5. 05 Test across Apple Watch models for battery impact, performance and haptic quality.
